A conservation management plan, a report which tells owners what is important about their heritage place and how to look after it, was prepared with a $20,000 grant from the Living Heritage Program. The grant was provided on a matched funds basis.
The study, prepared by expert heritage specialists, architects and historians, identified the conservation works required to repair and restore the historic Tyntyndyer Homestead for the Wadi Wadi Traditional Owners.
Tyntyndyer is of architectural and historical and significance, particularly as a place of early interaction between Aboriginal people and European settlers in Victoria. It demonstrates the shared histories of these communities.
