Ebenezer Mission is of immense social, historical, archaeological and architectural importance to Victoria. The historical significance to the many Aboriginal groups of the area extends thousands of years into the past. A $45,000 grant has provided structural and heritage conservation reports to enable the Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation to plan for repairs.
As a first essential step to conserve Ebenezer Mission for future generations and enable public access, the reports identified the structural condition of the buildings and identified priority repair works. The Land Council is currently planning conservation works.
