Thematic and typological studies

Thematic studies focus on the heritage of a period or theme in Victoria’s history e.g. pre-1851 structures, Federation heritage, heritage of the 1956 Olympics.

Typological studies focus on particular types of heritage places e.g. Bridges, Churches, Cemeteries, Lone Graves & Funeral Parlours. You can find studies at:

1. State Library of Victoria
2. Local councils which commissioned them
3. Infralib, the Department of Transport’s Library

Paper copies of studies can be viewed at Infralib but not borrowed. Where Infralib holds a hard copy, the call number is added e.g. Infralib 711.4099451 HAW:M.
