Talking to the wider community about heritage and its conservation is an important part of Heritage Victoria’s role.
Speakers can be requested for community groups, tertiary institutions, professional organisations and so on.
Topics can be broad – for example, “What is heritage?” – or specific, for example on archaeology, shipwrecks, gardens or artefact conservation.
Most talks are given in metropolitan areas, but arrangements can be made to send someone to a rural area, if a speaker is available. Speakers may be members of the Heritage Council or staff from Heritage Victoria.
